The Greek Women's Association of SA " Taxiarchis" Inc celebrated the 90th birthday of the founder of the association at the AGM of 1992.
For the Greek Home for the Aged at Ridleyton, the Society offered the first donation of $500 in 1983, when the idea of a nursing home was still on paper.
On May 18, 1986, during the cornerstone placement ceremony, the Society offered an additional $5,000 and since then continuously supports and assists the work of the Greek Home for the Aged at Ridleyton.
The National Flower Day was an annual event every spring organized by the Adelaide City Council between the years of 1938 to 1975. The people from Adelaide took part by making floral displays and presentalions throughout the city. The War Memorial and the lawns around Government House and Victoria Square were favoured sites for the event.
The Greek Women;s Society participated regularly in Flower Day by preparing a floral display in Victoria Square and even won 2nd prize one year with their entry of Pegasus the mythical flying horse.
